AXIS C15 Network Speaker Series wins the “Red Dot Award” for its design.

Axis Communications has been distinguished with a Red Dot Award in the category of “Product Design 2022” . The international jury has awarded the “Red Dot” distinction to the AXIS C15 Network Speaker Series for the quality of its design.
AXIS C15 Network Speaker Series was designed for indoor public spaces, retail and offices by Jonas Sjögren, Head of Industrial Design at Axis Communications, who explains that the success of the solution is a great example of balancing form and function, as well as of a series of requirements such as ease of use, sound quality and the possibility of integration with other network technologies.
Loudspeakers connected to an audio system facilitate communication, are ideal for a public address system and support live and pre-recorded announcements, with the aim of improving operational efficiency, ensuring people’s safety. In addition, they can be used to broadcast music and generate pleasant environments.
Its solid and minimalist casing is the key to its success, since it advocates a more human approach, which allows it to be brought closer to the user, therefore, it is an interactive, close and intuitive device. On the other hand, it is ideal for stores, malls, offices, hotels and recreational spaces where the aesthetic component has the greatest weight.
“Receiving recognition for the design of our products, especially if it comes from a contest as prestigious as this one, is always nice and endorses the great work of our team,” says Sjögren.
Axis received the “Red Dot Award” at the award ceremony in the Aalto-Theater in Essen.

About the Red Dot Award
It dates back to 1955 and recognizes the best products of each year. In 2022, the jury was made up of 48 members from 23 countries whose mission was to apply the motto “in search of good design and innovation”. In this international group of experts we find specialists from many different sectors.
The members of the jury analyzed the products registered for the award during a process that lasted several days and in which evaluation criteria such as the formal quality of the product, its ergonomics and its useful life were taken into account, aspects that are key in innovation Technology at Axis.
